Dr. Patrick Lepeak started out as a Michigan resident, growing up in a suburban community, learning his work ethic doing farm labor in the fields. He lived in the shadow of Dow Chemical Corp. where all of his siblings worked. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Bay City, Michigan, and earned his first college degree at the University of Michigan, a BS in Chemical Engineering, graduating on the Dean’s List. He worked in the engineering field for the Dow Corning Corp. in Midland, Michigan from 1965 to 1974, when he changed course and began his professional career in dentistry, with the encouragement and support of his wife, Judy, and three small children Lorie (age six), Lisa (age four) and Michael (age three).
Graduating from the University of Michigan a second time with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1978, Dr. Lepeak moved to Florida to join several members of his wife’s family who had previously retired to Florida.
Upon arrival in Florida, Dr. Lepeak worked with a local dentist for a short period of time, and soon acquired the vacant practice of a local Belleair Bluffs dentist, Dr. Frank Oset, which he built into a successful practice, continuing there until 2004. During that time period, Dr. Lepeak was actively involved professionally serving in all of the offices of his local dental association, finishing as the President of his Society. He routinely attended the basic required professional continuing education courses, always working toward being on the cutting-edge of dentistry.
Dr. Lepeak served as a Dental Board Examiner for the Florida Board of Dentistry, a board member of his local Rotary Club, and in most of the organizations/services of his church in Largo, Florida. He has volunteered to participate in several dental missions in third world countries, works as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College of Dental Hygiene, and has worked as a volunteer at the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) in Clearwater for more than ten years, where he still volunteers on a weekly basis.
While his three children and five grandchildren all now live out-of-state, Dr. Lepeak is none the less very proud of them. He loves music, participates in sports, and enjoys the continuing practice of dentistry, treating his patients as he would a treasured family member. He truly enjoys the practice of restorative dentistry, where he has always provided honest advice.
Dr. Lepeak is happy to be a part of the quality practice of Dr. Quick and his staff, where he has been an active patient for the past two years.
